"With some reading and personal reflection, you may witness a new horizon of freedom operning before you. The sacrament of Penance or Reconciliation is meant to offer just that: richer relationships, a greater appreciation of God, and a more complete experience of life through forgiveness of sin."

Basic Helps to Confession guides the reader through the four steps that the person and the priest complete in celebrating the sacrament of Reconcilation. Also includes a chapter, "Why must I tell me sins to a priest?", an examination of conscience, how to decide what to confess, and finally tips on contacting a priest and what to expect. It concludes with a Practical Summary for Celebrating the Sacrament of Penance to acquaint the person with the rite of Penance and what happens during confession itself.

A basic guide to the Sacrament of Penance is perfect for the person who wants a brief refresher or who hasn't been to confession for a long time. Conveniently priced for parishes, retreat houses, college campuses, and RCIA programs.
